PATTERN NOTES
This shawl is begun with two groups of 156 stitches cast on to 2 circular needles using a provisional method. Use a cast on method that does not rely on waste yarn, much like you would for a toe-up sock. I recommend Judy’s Magic Cast on. These stitches are worked in the round with increases every round on the edge charts. The stitch counts on the center charts do not change throughout the shawl. When all increases are complete, a knitted-on border is worked, eliminating the need to bind off a large number of stitches.
