This shawl begins with a garter stitch tab worked back and forth. Stitches are picked up along the side of the garter tab to begin charts.

Both the Right and Left charts have double yarnover increases at the edge of the shawl on the RS rows. This creates the curved crescent shape of the shawl.

The lace patterns are charted as well as written out. When instructed to work a chart, follow the charts on page 4-5, or the corresponding written instructions on pages 6-7

This shawl has patterning on both the rightside and the wrongside.
