Lotusland cardigan is like a calm pool of water spotted with lush pink flowers and bright yellow centers. Texture takes center stage with broken ribbing and garter stripes while the simple lace adds depth and interest in an all over pattern on the back.

PATTERN NOTES
This cardigan is worked flat from the bottom up in pieces and seamed. Markers are placed at the edge of each front at the beginning of neck shaping for guidance when picking up stitches for the collar. Stitches decreased for the fronts and backs of the armholes differ since the gauge for the lace pattern and stockinette are different. Likewise stitch counts for the shoulder seams differ as well, see online tutorial for step-by-step guide on how to seam the shoulders.
If using the recommended yarn (or another hand dyed yarn) it is advisable to alternate skeins every 2 rows to avoid pooling. The yarns can be carried up the right hand edge of the work and will not be visible after seaming.
