This beaded Shawl is worked from side to side with twisted ribbing in the center and an unusual cabled lace border. Increases below the top border create a curved top edge.

SIZE One Size: 94”long, 11” wide at ends, 23” wide at center

MATERIALS
Malabrigo Sock [100% superwash merino; 440yds/3.5oz]; color 859 primavera, 2 skeins

1 set US #6/4mm 24 -inch circular needle

1 US #10/0.75mm crochet hook

Tapestry needle,

575 Size 6 Toho Beads color #996 buy approx 20 extra for dropped or mis-sized beads, optional.

GAUGE
12 sts = 2.5” over Sivia Top Chart after blocking
17 sts / 34 rows = 4” over twisted rib after blocking

This pattern also includes general alteration instructions for a single 440yd skein.

Instructions are written and charted.

PATTERN NOTES
This shawl is worked from side to side with increases in the twisted rib section between the top and bottom border. This gives the shawl an unconventional oblong center and provides infinite possibilities for size alterations.
Instructions are included for beading the lower edge. Beads, if used, are placed as the stitches are worked; pre-stringing beads is not recommended.
